GIS Placement Student

A temporary vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-

GIS Placement Student
37 Hours per week
Fixed term to 31 August 2027
Scale 1, SCP 3, (Currently £24,796 per annum)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• The GIS Placement Student will support a range of Council projects, including the rollout of a digital compliance app for Facilities Maintenance and mapping initiatives across departments. Key tasks will involve data collection, spatial analysis, and asset mapping to aid climate goals, regeneration efforts, and land portfolio management.
• The student will gain hands-on experience working with teams such as Parks, Museums, and Assets, contributing to high-impact projects like tree zoning and the America 250 memorial initiative.
