About the role

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for clinical nutrition and innovation?

Do you thrive in cross-functional environments where science meets market impact? We’re looking for a visionary Global Head of Clinical Infant and Medical Nutrition to lead our Proactive Health Pod.

This is a high-impact global role where you’ll shape the future of infant and medical nutrition, drive innovation, and deliver meaningful health outcomes across diverse markets.

Key responsibilities

The Global Head of Clinical Infant and Medical Nutrition is a core member of what Proactive Health calls a “Pod”—a cross-functional team consisting of Product Marketing, R&D, and Product Management focused on the CIA Health Platform. Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing the value proposition for the Health Pod.
  • Building a 3–5 year innovation roadmap, identifying key need-states and collaborating with R&D and Product Management to progress innovations through stage gate.
  • Creating modular global commercial toolkits for regional sales and marketing teams.
  • Partnering with regional sales teams to support global customer sell-in efforts.

Success in this role is measured by global P&L delivery (top and bottom line) and the sufficiency of the innovation pipeline over a 5-year horizon.

  • Value Proposition Development: Define how the CIA Health Pod shows up externally—across media, trade shows, and sales collateral.
  • Innovation Pipeline Strategy: Identify gaps and build a pipeline based on market dynamics, regulatory realities, and clinical outcomes.
  • 1-3-5 Innovation Pacing:
    • 1-year: Minor/commercial innovation.
    • 3-year: Complex innovation (new features, market access).
    • 5-year: Transformative innovation (clinical trials, new benefits).
  • Proactive Health Ways of Working: Create Target Product Blueprints, gather global voice of customer, define product value propositions, and align regional business cases.
  • Business Case Development: Collaborate with Regions, R&D, and Product Management to build long-term NPV models.
  • Brand Stewardship: Manage health portfolio brand guidelines and trademarks.

Qualifications and skills

  • BS in Business/Marketing with 10+ years of experience or MBA with 6+ years.
  • Proven experience within the adult medical and infant nutrition with extensive market knowledge.
  • Advanced degree in nutrition, medical, or food science related to CIA or similar categories.
  • Global B2B marketing experience across North America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Background in supplements or nutraceuticals preferred.
  • Proven strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong project management and resource leadership.
  • Business acumen with a deep understanding of profitability drivers.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and consensus-building expertise.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
