What You’ll Do as a Governance & Reporting Manager

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Development and management of governance processes, controls and reporting across a multi-year portfolio of enterprise-wide investment and change activities.
  • Management and coordination of the governance forums and processes for all the enterprise-wide portfolio (monthly, quarterly and annual forums) with senior stakeholders
  • Drive consistency across the enterprise portfolio ensuring adherence to theoverarching governance framework.
  • Influence and, where appropriate, challenge the operation of other areas to ensure governance is adhered to, in order to meet the combined requirements of the business and our stakeholders
  • Ensure the appropriate categorization and routing of initiatives submitted through the governance and demand management processes
  • Create and establish oversight and insight of our enterprise portfolio to support decision making
  • Works with the Strategic Pillar sponsors and leads to understand where each item is within the Portfolio plan.
  • Support project, initiative and executive reporting needs of the EPMO, developing multi-level reports and presentations as needed.
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead initiative and portfolio level reporting activities across the business while remaining responsive to shifting demands and ambiguity

What You’ll Bring

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: 

  • Educated to degree level and have at least 5-8 years’ experience in a Portfolio Management Office.
  • Formal Project Management or Portfolio Management qualification (PMP/IPMA/PRINCE 2 Practitioner).
  • Significant Project Portfolio Management governance and reporting experience gained through several complex and varied environments.
  • Experience of working with teams using a wide variety of change frameworks and methodologies (traditional waterfall and iterative/agile delivery and process improvement methodologies).
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • Experience of using PPM Tools e.g. Planisware.
