Since its formation in 1978, Moore Concrete Products Ltd has developed into a world class, quality focused, precast concrete manufacturer based outside Ballymena. The company is customer focus led, ensuring the continued evolution of our extensive product range, designed to meet the requirements of civil infrastructure, agriculture and building customers across the UK and Ireland.
We are now recruiting for a Graduate Accountant to join our accounts team within the company, to assist in maintaining company accounts, prepartion of financial statements and internal and external financial audits.
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00 (40hrs per week).
Job responsibilities:
Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments and other adjustments.
Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts and general ledger accounts.
Support the analysis of material, labour and overhead costs.
Assist with production costings and review manufacturing variances.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.
Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records etc as assigned.
Assist with VAT/tax reporting and other statutory requirements.
Preparation of data for internal and external account audits.
Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required. Essential Criteria:
BSc Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline.
Good knowledge of fundamental accounting principles.
Highly numerate with strong attention to detail.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, experience with ERP/accounting systems is advantageous.
Organised and able to manage competing priorities.

Desirable Criteria:
Knowledge and understanding of achieving targets.
Previous finance experience, including an internship or placement.
Exposure to an ERP or manufacturing accounting system.
Understanding of management accounting, costing or inventory accounting.
