As members of the Federation of Piling Specialists and a founding member of the Piling Contractors Association of Ireland (PCAI), we design and install CFA and rotary bored piling, retaining walls, driven piling and ground improvement systems for some of the region’s most significant infrastructure and building projects.
Role Overview
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will become a valued member of our experienced team, contributing to all aspects of contract and commercial operations. What you'll do
Some of your main duties and responsibilities will include;
Cost Management & Estimating
- Assist with estimating.
- Preparation of client costings, valuations and variations.
- Update trackers, risk registers and other project documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and electronic systems.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders including clients, subcontractors and site teams.
- Attend client meetings to represent the business (shadowing at first), handling contract disputes in a professional manner.
- Maintain continuous professional development, make suggestions for how we can improve.
- Prioritise the health and safety of yourself and others at all times, particularly when on site.
What you'll bring
To succeed as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will require the following;
- BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 36 weeks (9 months) experience working in a commercial environment.
- Knowledge of Standard Form Contracts (e.g. NEC)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident with IT, and knowledge of MS Office, including excel
- Ability to work as part of a team and work collaboratively with others.
- Hold a full valid driving license and have use of a vehicle for work.
