As part of the Dell Technologies Customer Solution Centers, the Proof of Concept (POC) team is focused on providing customers with confidence that the proposed solution/architecture will satisfy their specific requirements. POCs are designed to support sales opportunities which are dependent on the successful completion of a test plan to move the customer towards making a final purchasing decision. Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Solution Architect on our Customer Solution Center team in Cork.Key ResponsibilitiesAs part of our global network of Customer Solution Centers, Cork is primarily leveraged for proof of concepts, solution validations and technical workshops. At the core of the Center is a fully serviced 5,500 sqft Data Center/Lab environment with all the latest technologies from across the Dell Technologies portfolio. This role assists Solution Architects in the development of environments for Proof of Concepts, product demonstrations, technical product articles and documentation to assist in the successful conclusion of sales.
- Under moderate supervision, applies varied technical and business skills and develops experience in IT solution creation and delivery with increased business acumen
- In addition to Customer Proof of Concept projects, contributes towards team goals by delivering assigned infrastructure project activities.
- Responsible for the maintenance of static Technical environments and troubleshoots any technical issues that may appear
- Contributes in the Management and Inventory Control of Data Center Hardware
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Computer Systems and Networking or Business Information Systems or equivalent.All applicants must be within 0 – 12 months of graduation and with a graduation date of 2020 or 2021 only
- Base Operating System Install /Admin
- Scripting skills
- TCP/IP/Ethernet, Virtualization, Storage, File/Block concepts
- Passion for IT
- IT Troubleshooting skills
