Your Role:

The PTSB Graduate Talent Programme is designed to ensure all graduates gain exposure and insight into different business areas within PTSB, encouraging them to develop and enhance multiple skills. The Programme consists of periodic rotations structured towards enabling graduates to gain insight and exposure to different teams and roles within their chosen business stream.

You will complete either three x 8-month rotations or four x 6-month rotations, depending on your business stream

Rotations are supported by a 2-tier support network consisting of a Line Manager and assigned buddy. Additionally, a best in class learning and career development platform is available and educational training/assistance provided.

The Graduate will be offered a fixed term contract for a period of 24 months.

Your Responsibilities as a Graduate:

As a Graduate in PTSB you can expect to perform some of the following activities:

·         Gain exposure and contribute to business-critical projects in a fast-paced environment, build strong management, interpersonal and technical skills throughout the Programme

·         Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to identify customer pain points and process enhancements

·         Due to the changing nature of work and rotations, we encourage flexibility amongst graduates to perform other ad-hoc activities and seize new opportunities as they arise

·         Establish and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels

·         Engage with all areas of the organisation supporting colleagues and Bank wide initiatives

Minimum requirements:

·         Graduating in 2026/ Graduated in 2025

·         You must be legally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction* for the duration of the programme (September 2026 – September 2028).

* Without restriction refers to candidates who: (i) will have a visa in place which will be valid for the entirety of the 24-month duration of the programme without any change in permission type required; and (ii) do not require any financial sponsorship from PTSB of work visa from September 2026 – September 2028.

·         Candidates must have or be on track to achieve a minimum result of a 2:1 Second Class Honours, Grade 1 (60 – 69%) in their Level 8 qualification or above.

In addition, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite such as Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Being highly organized and demonstrating an ability to work both individually and collaboratively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Meet individual and team performance targets

7.       Agri-Retail Banking

1.       Customer and People:

Customer and People is a dynamic and supportive team, which gives prospective candidates great exposure to day-to-day operations of one of the key functions within the organisation. In addition, it allows candidates to experience and influence outputs of day-to-day business and project deliverables, across Culture, Employee Relations, Customer & Marketing, Talent, HR Business Partnering, HR Operations, and Internal/External Communications.

Essential requirements for Customer and People:

Candidates must present with the following disciplines: HR, Business/ Commerce, Law, Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences, Psychology, or any other relevant discipline.

2.       Group Operations

Group Operations covers a wide range of business areas in the bank, which gives prospective candidates fantastic exposure to the day-to-day operations of one of the most critical functions within the organisation.

The diverse range of units include Financial Crime Prevention, Customer Operations & ASU (Arrears Support Unit), Complaints & Resolution and more. Each unit in Group Operations work together to ensure exceptional customer experience delivery while creating a strong culture and a diverse and inclusive working environment.

Essential requirements for Group Operations:

Candidates must present with the following disciplines: Business, HR, Economics, Finance, Law, Risk Management or any other relevant discipline as well as having a genuine interest in operations and customer service excellence.

3.       Risk Banking

Risk is responsible for managing risks in PTSB and covers a wide range of business functions in the Bank, which gives prospective candidates fantastic exposure to risk management, one of the most critical functions within the Bank.

The diverse range of units include Enterprise Risk Management & Operations, Financial Risk, Operational & IT Risk, Climate Risk and Compliance Risk & Conduct Risk.

Essential requirements for Group Risk Data Analytics and Modelling:

Candidates must present with the following disciplines: Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, MSISS (Management Science & Information Systems Studies), Actuarial & Financial, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science and other related disciplines.

4.       Risk Data Analytics and Modelling

Risk Data Analytics and Modelling is a dynamic environment, which gives our prospective candidates great exposure to our day-to-day operations within one of the key functions within the organisation.

In addition, it will allow the graduate to have the opportunity to complete rotations within teams such as: Model Risk, Credit Risk – Portfolio Management, Credit Risk – Regulatory Models, Credit Risk – Commercial Models & Strategy, Credit Risk – Impairment & Forecasting and more.

Essential requirements for Group Risk Data Analytics and Modelling:

Candidates must present with the following disciplines: Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, MSISS (Management Science & Information Systems Studies), Actuarial & Financial, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science and other related disciplines.

5.       Group Technology

Group Technology comprises of many diverse disciplines & teams, both in Dublin and Cork including;

·         Chief Information Security Office

·         Digital Enablement (Web & Mobile)

·         Banking Platforms Application Development & Support

·         Enterprise Information (IT Service Management, IT Infrastructure & Operations, IT Security Operations)

·         Strategy & Architecture

·         Strategic Change Management

This innovative and dynamic department provides the exposure to suit all technology ambitions.

Essential requirements for Group Technology:

Candidates must present with Computing or Technology related disciplines as well as having a genuine interest in Technology and Innovation.

6.       Retail Banking and Distribution

In Retail Banking, graduates gain exposure and insight to different departments of Retail within PTSB, encouraging them to develop and enhance multiple skills to better serve our customers. It will enable the graduate to gain insight and exposure to different teams and roles in areas such as: Distribution, Asset Finance, Business Banking and Digital Channels.

Essential requirements for Retail Banking and Distribution:

Candidates must present with the following disciplines: Business, Retail Management, Economics, Finance, Law or any other relevant discipline, as well as having a genuine interest in Retail Banking.

7.       Agri-Retail Banking

In Retail Banking, graduates gain exposure and insight to different departments of Retail within PTSB, specifically areas related to the agriculture business. This encourages graduates to develop and enhance multiple skills to better serve our customers. It will enable the Agriculture graduate to gain insight and exposure to relevant teams and roles such as: Business Banking in Munster, Product Management and Credit Risk in Dublin.

Essential requirements for Agri-Retail Banking:

Candidates must present with the following disciplines: Agricultural Science, Agri. Business or any other relevant discipline, as well as having a genuine interest in Finance and Farm Finance specifically.

Candidates must also present a good understanding of sustainability related farming practices and an interest in overall ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) impact and opportunities in the agriculture sector.
