Graduate Trainee Accountant

Salary – Competitive 

Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week 

Location – NI based. The role is designed primarily for remote working, but there may be the option of co-working space if desired. There will be regular meetings in Belfast or the surrounding areas, so it will require someone who is NI based. 

Holiday – 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 28 days)

The Outsourcing team has an opportunity for a GraduateTrainee Accountant. This is a remote role (although there may be the option of co-working space if desired) with regular in-person meetings and infrequent international travel.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start their accountancy career. You will be working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA) while gaining hands on experience as part of our team. 

The successful applicant will work with an international team to provide support across a number of accounting functions and services. It is a unique role, and offers unrivalled opportunities for progression. It will suit an ambitious all-rounder, who has excellent communication skills, and is keen to learn.

Key responsibilities of a Graduate Trainee Accountant will include:

  • working with an international team in providing accounting support to clients within the group
  • preparing year end accounts and corporation tax returns for limited companies, partnerships, sole-traders and LLPs
  • preparing and reviewing bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns
  • delivering excellent client service
  • involvement with workflow implementation 
  • assisting with driving technological solutions in accounting throughout the office

About you 

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: 

  • degree of any discipline, but accountancy/finance advantageous, 2:1 or higher
  • a desire to have a career in accountancy and willingness to work towards qualifying via ACCA / ACA
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • strong experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • great attention to detail along with strong organisational skills 
  • pro-active and positive attitude
