Job Description
Assisting the team with the upkeep and maintenance of Golf premises.
The placement will also include training and guidance on gardening work, grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming.
Work individually or as part of a team to complete repair and maintenance tasks.
Training will be provided in health and safety procedures, identifying hazards and undertake point of work risk assessments as required.
Communicate effectively with customers/team members when doing maintenance.
The participant will receive all training and will be supported by a mentor on the placement.
The participant will gain practical knowledge in a busy golfing environment
The participant will learn how to work as part of a team with a good work ethic
By the end of the programme, you will have developed the following skills: teamwork, problem solving, listening, communication, customer service, time management, attention to details, working to schedules.
Role Description:
This is a training and work experience opportunity, no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education and Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.
