Grocery Manager

SuperValuBoherbue, Cork

Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Grocery Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times. Provide our customers with excellent quality products and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Minimum 1 years` experience in a management position
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Excellent communication skills
• Good delegation skills
• Highly driven with a strong work ethic
• An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
• Commerciality and brand awareness
• Passion for grocery retail
• Thrive in a fast-paced working environment

Main duties:
• Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative
• Communicate the required operating standards to all employees and ensure they understand and implement such standards at all times
• Drive sales through instore initiatives
• Merchandise and present the department to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines
• Adhere to weekly stocktaking and daily waste procedures in the Grocery Department
• Liaise with the management team so as to ensure that weekly gross profit, net profit and sales targets are achieved
• Conduct quality and freshness checks
• Attend relevant training as required and implement learnings in store
