Group Product Manager, Billing & Subscription Management

We are looking for a Group Product Manager for Fintech’s Billing Product Group. This leader will oversee several teams including Payments, Subscriptions, Self Service Billing, Invoicing & Credits, Transactions Experience, Billing Communications, and internal quote-to-cash software. You will play a pivotal role in helping HubSpot scale by leveraging AI to drive efficiencies in our back-office, while also bringing new pricing and billing models to market globally.

You will directly manage a growing team of six or more product managers and eventually product leads across Ireland, the UK, and North America. You’ll be responsible for ensuring HubSpot has a low-friction, delightful and consumer-grade billing experience that enables 200k+ customers to seamlessly resolve billing inquiries in a timely manner. In addition, you’ll play a leading role in expanding billing capabilities into external ecosystems and marketplaces to unlock new channels of growth for HubSpot. You’ll be on the forefront of exploring new technologies and incorporating them back into our billing platform so we can scale to meet our evergrowing customer base.

This GPM role will be responsible for leading a growing team of PMs responsible for a suite of features that are critical to our 200k+ HubSpot customers as well as our internal Quote-to-Cash teams. These features include:

  • Account & Billing Experience: responsible for helping customers manage their billing and subscription options in a self-serve manner.
  • Billing Admin Experience: responsible for helping our quote-to-cash reconcile customer billing issues in a timely manner with a focus on collections and cash application.
  • Billing Communication Platform: responsible for Billing’s overarching communication strategy and technology, integral for all critical billing touchpoints. 
  • Billing Payments: responsible for ensuring payment availability globally and supporting new payment methods in regions of high leverage. 
  • Invoices & Credits: responsible for the invoicing technology and experience as well as the credit memo object and applications.
  • Transaction Platform: responsible for ensuring a seamless transaction experience across the entire billing lifecycle.
  • Subscription Platform: responsible for HubSpot’s Subscription Management platform and Contract Object technology that powers 200k+ customer subscriptions 
  • The Billing Group in Fintech is a critical part of HubSpot’s long term strategy. These teams are instrumental in ensuring our customers have the tools they need to grow and succeed with HubSpot. In this role, the GPM will be responsible for creating and executing on the vision of how we best solve for our customers in this space. They will maintain a high bar for product quality, while driving an excellent customer experience throughout the product and determining how we position our capabilities here as a competitive advantage.     We are looking for people who have:

    • A proven track record of building and leading diverse and inclusive product management teams as a people manager (hiring, performance management, coaching of Product Managers)
    • A deep focus on understanding our customers and making their experience personalized and better
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the willingness to defend their ideas to key stakeholders
    • Implemented new ways of integrating artificial intelligence into everyday processes to drive efficiency and create value
    • Experience with complex growth initiatives and product rollouts
    • Healthy technical and interpersonal problem-solving skills
    • Proven leadership skills, and the ability to make decisions, test assumptions, and iterate - often without perfect information
    • Desire and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
    • Someone who can add to the culture of the product team and cares about diversity, inclusion, and belonging
    • Experience in driving growth and monetization leverage while balancing cost savings and driving internal efficiencies
    • Experience managing multiple billing and subscription models that range in complexities from subscription-based billing to more variable pricing models like usage or outcome-based billing.
    • Experience driving internal efficiencies through emerging technologies like AI and LLM
    • Strong technical understanding of the inner workings of subscriptions, billing, and payments
