Head Of Commercial Operations

DUBLIN ZOO holds the prestigious position of being ‘Ireland’s leading Fee Paying Family Attraction’ welcoming in excess of 1.1 million visitors each year.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and passionate Head of Commercial Operations who, under the direction of the Director of Dublin Zoo, will be responsible for leading and overseeing the efficient and effective delivery of Dublin Zoo’s commercial operations, helping to steer the Zoo towards a thriving and successful future.

They will be responsible for developing and implementing the operation strategy that will help grow the Zoo’s income to support the delivery of the Zoo’s Conservation Masterplan and Strategic Development Plan.

They must have a proven track record of successful commercial management and all aspects of consumer commerce as well as an understanding of a tourist attraction’s commercial operations and how to realise its potential in the context of a conservation charity.

They must possess excellent leadership skills with substantial experience in team development, people management, a passion for exceeding visitor expectation as well as Strong commercial acumen with substantial experience of setting and overseeing budgets, meeting KPI’s and targets, successfully managing and delivering projects and experience of analysing data.

Candidates must hold a third level qualification in a relatable field, with an MBA desirable.
