Head of Corporate Accounts
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Head of Corporate Accounts reporting directly to the Commercial Director. The primary purpose of this role is to deliver the budgeted annual sales and profit targets with key customers. Specifically, you will be tasked with managing and maintaining existing Head Office relationships with our key large customers with a view to delivering incremental sales growth. These relationships can often be complex and may involve negotiations with multiple stakeholders at various levels within the same business. You will also be charged with the creation of a Growth Plan which will reflect your approach to new business development, customer retention and creating a high performing sales team.
To be successful in this position you must possess strong leadership capabilities whilst also understanding the granular dynamics of the foodservice industry particularly within Corporate Multi Unit customers, Public sector & Head office groups/chains. You will possess excellent communications and analytical skills and an ability to motivate in a performance culture.

Key Abilities and Skills Required:
- Experience of managing a team within a sales environment and demonstrable understanding and deliverance of target and profit management.
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to lead, coach, support and inspire a wider team.
- Skilled in the areas of consultative selling, marketing principles, prospecting, networking, coaching and negotiations.
- The capacity to interpret, understand and act upon financial data through numeric, commercial and verbal reasoning.
- Developed communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- A strategic thinker who can analyse market, category and financial data to identify key trends and recommend creative solutions.
- Adept at creating highly effective premium propositions to our customers, incorporating regional and local industry trends to establish our foodie credentials.
- Enrich the customer experience by providing solutions to support customer growth.
- In support of our customer first model, work effectively across all departments to remove obstacles to ensure your team can focus on improving execution and servicing our customers flawlessly.
- Strong Business Technology capabilities including leveraging and utilising across your team our CRM Tool.
- Acts with integrity and assumes full accountability treating others with respect and honesty.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for consistent delivery of sales, profit and margin targets.
- Responsible for new business development and delivering new business sales and margin targets.
- Design and implement a National Accounts sales plan, adapting and modifying as necessary to an ever-evolving and dynamic marketplace.
- Responsible for role modelling and building effective relationships with key customers and stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Proactively embody and promote a culture of opportunity, equality and diversity.
- Advocate and drive consistent use of all available system tools across the National Accounts team.
- Through training and coaching, develop the business and commercial acumen of the National Accounts team.
- Support and champion change including business improvement projects beyond immediate role responsibilities.
