Job Background:
The Head of ‘Data & Results’ will serve as the primary liaison with a leading university partner to help us scientifically measure and validate our progress toward ending poverty. The Head of ‘Data & Results’ is pivotal in supporting the rollout of a new Information Management System (IMS), and in ensuring that the charity’s data collection, validation, and analysis processes are robust, and that key metrics are reported effectively to demonstrate our results.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • University Partnership Liaison- Serve as the main contact with the designated university partner, coordinating collaborative research projects and data-sharing agreements
  • Result Measurement & Evidence Building- Collaborate with managers and frontline staff to define KPIs and success measures
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration- Lead a team and manage external consultants involved in data initiatives as required.
  • Data Collection & Management-Develop and implement best practices for data collection, validation, and storage. Support operational teams in maintaining consistent and accurate data entry and management processes.

Essential Criteria:
  • A Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field or equivalent professional experience / certification. 
  • Significant relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence or data management, ideally within a mission-driven or complex multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Experience managing large scale IT/ data system design and implementation.
  • Strong working knowledge of major data analytics tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience developing, managing and reporting on performance measures or impact data.

Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in academic or research partnerships. 
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) or data certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS).
