Your Role
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide strategic financial leadership within PTSB. You will lead the External and Regulatory Reporting Function within the Bank, holding overall responsibility for the Bank¿s statutory, prudential and supervisory reporting obligations. The role will be responsible for ensuring frameworks are in place for the efficient, effective and professional management of financial, taxation and regulatory reporting for the Bank. This role will provide insightful financial analysis to drive sustainable growth and profitability across the Bank.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will serve as the Bank¿s principal authority on all external financial, taxation and regulatory reporting. As part of the role you will interpret complex requirements, oversee governance and controls. You will be responsible for setting the vision, standards, and the direction of a function that underpins the Bank¿s financial integrity, regulatory compliance and market reputation.
Your Team
You will lead and coach a team of 5 Senior Managers on a direct responsibility line across External & Regulatory Reporting with an overall team of c. 44 employees.
You will lead a high-performing multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering all statutory, prudential, and supervisory reporting for the Bank.
Your Responsibilities
Enterprise Leadership
- Work within, and across, the CFO Staff and Senior Leadership Team as well as representing Finance in a wide range of cross-Bank functional objectives.
- Apply business transformation leadership skills to lead, influence and challenge decisions, across the Bank¿s financial, taxation and regulatory reporting processes, driving enhancements for compliance, greater effectiveness and efficiencies.
Functional Strategy and Delivery
- Collaborate on delivering the overall strategic direction of Group Finance in partnership with the CFO and the Finance Senior Leadership Team.
- Work closely with internal and external partners to maximize the effectiveness of the Bank¿s processes, decision-making, monitoring and reporting.
Risk Management and Control
- Foster an effective Risk Management culture and mind-set ensuring adequate risk management practices are part of ¿how we do things, with a particular focus on operational excellence.
- Lead the Finance Divisional Risk and Governance Committee.
Lead an inspiring Culture
- As a Senior Leader, embody and role model the Group¿s values and standards. Lead and seek opportunities for inclusively, inspire and motivate a high performing team enabling people so that people can be at their best both.
- Set comprehensive efficiency and effectiveness goals and collaboratively influence the Finance Division to encourage maximum performance and dedication in the achievement of common goals.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Present, influence and engage at Executive and Board level on matters impacting the Bank¿s financial integrity.
- Represent the CFO on Group Steering Committees and external engagements where appropriate and when required.
Requirements
Essential
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 10+ years proven experience of operating at senior management preferably in the financial services sector, strong technical accounting experience in a demanding fast paced role with significant responsibility
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across functions at senior level.
- Excellent knowledge of our business and market environment.
- In-depth understanding of the governance, technical and regulatory standards applicable to the role. Technical accounting knowledge of IFRS, Companies Act, Central Bank & ECB reporting requirements are essential
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and accountability.
