Service Area:
To support the Director in leading the strategic direction and operational delivery of high quality and value for money Regulatory Services.
The postholder will have responsibility for the management and enforcement of the Council’s Building Control, Environmental Health, Licensing, Animal Welfare and Dog Control functions, having regard for the legislative bases under which each operate.
The postholder will work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure outcomes are achieved in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
Key Purpose of the Post:
To support the Director and the Corporate Leadership Team in the strategic management of the Council contributing to the development of and ensuring the delivery of the Council’s Vision, values and strategic outcomes.
To provide strategic and operational leadership across this service/function area and to ensure appropriate measures are implemented to ensure efficient and effective performance management, continuous improvement and transformation of the service/function.
To support the Director in the leadership, management and delivery of transformational change and integrated working across the organisation.
