The Head of Sectoral Development is responsible for ensuring that Northern Ireland has a thriving, competitive and future-ready tourism industry capable of delivering sustainable economic growth.
Working directly with tourism businesses, sector bodies and strategic partners, the postholder will lead the development of business capability, commercial performance, digital maturity, productivity, innovation, sustainability and quality across the tourism sector.
The role will strengthen the foundations of the industry, enabling tourism businesses to become more resilient, investable, competitive and successful. It will ensure that businesses have the knowledge, capability and support required to deliver consistently high-quality visitor experiences and maximise tourism’s contribution to the Northern Ireland economy.
Reporting to the Director of Client Engagement, the Head of Sectoral Development will translate Tourism NI’s strategic ambitions into an integrated, evidence-led approach to industry development.
The postholder will ensure that business support, certification, quality and standards operate as connected strategic levers for growth.
