University Hospital Kerry (UHK), is a dynamic, fast paced Model III Acute Teaching Hospital within IHA Kerry, South West Region.

With substantial bed capacity [approximately 330 Acute and sub-acute], UHK delivers a comprehensive acute healthcare service across a range of services including Inpatient, Outpatient, Daycase, and core to the hospital’s service is provision of 24/7 Emergency care.

UHK’s Emergency Department, with onsite helipad, has average annual new presentations of approximately 48,500 patients. Activity levels across Inpatient discharges on an annual basis approximate 13,000 in addition to some 11,000 Day case and circa 54,000[1] Outpatient attendances.
