About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Technology Platforms & Operations to lead the design, delivery, and management of our enterprise technology landscape. This role plays a critical leadership function in building our greenfield ICT environment as we transition from a Transitional Service Agreement (TSA) model and implement major business platforms.

As the owner of all core platforms - including Azure infrastructure, networking, end-user computing (EUC), platform security, and operational monitoring — you will be responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable IT services across the business. This includes leading the Azure landing zone delivery, enabling cloud-native operations, supporting business system integrations, and establishing ITIL-aligned operational processes and SLAs.

You will work closely with peers across Applications, SAP, Service Management, and the wider business to ensure platforms meet both immediate delivery requirements and long-term strategic goals.

What will I be doing?

• Lead the platform and infrastructure strategy aligned with digital transformation and TSA transition.
• Oversee cloud-native infrastructure (mainly Azure), including identity, networking, and resource management.
• Ensure secure and scalable network connectivity across all environments.
• Manage end-user computing services using Microsoft 365 tools like Intune, Entra ID, and Endpoint Manager.
• Maintain high availability and performance through monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery.
• Embed security and compliance controls using Zero Trust principles.
• Implement ITIL-based operations processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Configuration Management).
• Govern external vendors and service providers to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate across ICT and business teams for integration and scalability.
• Build and lead a high-performing infrastructure and operations team.
• Own core technology platforms and ensure Azure performance and cost efficiency.
• Manage full lifecycle of end-user technologies and ensure 24x7 operational readiness.
• Enforce platform-level security and compliance.
• Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap and Azure landing zone.
• Deliver secure and consistent EUC and M365 services.
• Drive integration with business-critical systems and continuous service improvement.

These include:

• Expertise in Microsoft Azure, M365, Intune, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Leadership experience in platform operations within hybrid or enterprise environments.
• Strong command of ITIL, operational processes, and SLA delivery.
• 10+ years' experience in ICT, with at least 3–5 years in platform or operations leadership roles.
• Excellent communication, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
