The key role of the Institute Safety Co-ordinator is to develop, maintain and promote a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the Institute, across all its departments and campuses.
Duties to include the following:
• To develop, communicate and implement a Zero Accident vision for the prevention of accidents in the learning environment and workplace.
• To assist, support and complement management in providing a safe place of work and learning.
• To plan short-term, medium-term and long-term health and safety objectives and to develop and assist in the implementation of policies, procedures and codes of practice to achieve those objectives.
• To develop key performance indicators for the objectives set.
