The Grade VI Section Officer isa pivotal role within the structure of the HSE Mid West H&S Dept which will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety systems in the Mid West. The post holder will ensure compliance with statutory requirements, promote a positive safety culture and provide expert training guidance to staff.

Candidates must have at the latest date of application: -

An appropriate qualification in Manual Handling (FETAC Level 6 or equivalent), Risk Management or Health and Safety

And

Experience working in the area of health or social care

And

(b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the office.

Health

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

Character

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
