Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

We are now seeking applications for the position of Health & Safety Business Partner / Co-ordinator based on the Killeshandra site, Co. Cavan. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Health & Safety and working closely with the local management team, the Health & Safety Business Partner will be responsible for the promotion of a zero-harm culture and leading the adoption of best practice at site, where safety is the shared responsibility of everyone, working together.

The Health & Safety Business Partner will also be responsible for incident investigation, maintenance of registers, co-ordinating activities from a health and safety perspective between contractors and. Lakeland as well as providing accurate weekly and monthly reporting.

Key Competencies:

Individual: The successful candidate must have a sound knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation. They will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They must be able to work on their own initiative and have the ability to drive improvements in line with business needs.

Experience: The successful candidate will be an experienced Health & Safety professional with relevant practical experience, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education: Candidates should at a minimum possess a NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent). A full job description for this role is available from the Group Human Resources Department.
