Main purpose of the role:
Advise management on all aspects of Safety, Health and Welfare in the workplace. Train all management and employees in all relevant Health & Safety areas appropriate to them. Co-ordinate the in-store Food Safety Programme through appropriate training and auditing of the system. Undertake any other compliance related tasks.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Health & Safety qualification from recognised institute/university
Health & Safety experience is an advantage
Retail experience is an advantage
Experience in training/giving presentations to groups is an advantage
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible
Ability to use own initiative and work on own and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Main Duties:

Keep all Health & Safety, Hygiene and Compliance documentation up to date incorporating any changes received or identified
Ensure compliance with Musgrave Standards Audits, HACCP, EIQA Audits and any other relevant legislation or best practices
Train employees to manage all relevant elements of the store€,,s Health & Safety systems
Communicate and update the Safety Statement and risk assessments, as required
Identify and remedy any issues in the store€,,s safety systems, activities or procedures
Investigate and report all incidents and accidents
Ensure that all accident or incident forms are evaluated and filed with the appropriate documentation
Ensure that regular safety inspections of the operational areas are carried out, and report the findings to the management team
Deliver SOP training and maintain records of same
Deliver Hygiene, Health & Safety and Compliance training and maintain records of same
Ensure the fire drill records are updated in the Safety Statement on a 6-monthly basis
Keep up-to-date on all legislative changes
