We are seeking an experienced and practical Health & Safety Site Officer to support our growing portfolio of construction and grounds maintenance projects across Leinster. This role offers genuine flexibility. Position: Health & Safety Officer

Contract: Part Time – This role is expected to grow alongside the business and may develop into a full-time position for the right person.

Reporting to: Health & Safety Manager

Base: Maynooth, Co. Kildare

Projects: Greater Leinster (Primarily Dublin based)

Salary: €30,000 – €40,000 (pro-rata) DOE

Why Join Us:

You won’t be doing this on your own. You will join an established Health & Safety team and work alongside an experienced, dedicated H&S team of two, with the backing of our H&S Manager and operational managers across the business. This is a supported role within a structure — not a lone position where everything rests on one person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site safety inspections across construction and grounds maintenance projects
• Monitor PPE, housekeeping, traffic management, plant safety, working at height and environmental controls
• Coach and support site teams to promote positive safety behaviours
• Deliver toolbox talks and support employee induction training
• Act as a backup Manual Handling Instructor (training provided)
• Review RAMS, permits and site controls
• Record findings using mobile reporting tools and track corrective actions
• Assist with incident investigations
• Prepare and review RAMS with Contract Managers
• Support equipment inspections and certification tracking

Flexible working options include:

• Two full days plus a half day
• Three full working days per week
• Five shorter school-hours-friendly days
• Alternative arrangements to suit family and personal commitments

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Experience in a Health & Safety Officer, Advisor or similar role within construction, civil engineering or related sectors
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification
• Safe Pass card (or willingness to renew)
• Full clean driving licence
• Comfortable travelling throughout Greater Leinster
• Strong communication, reporting and organisational skills
• Competent with Microsoft Office and mobile reporting systems
• Occupational Safety & Health qualification
• Experience preparing RAMS
• Experience supporting multi-site operations
• Experience delivering safety training

Package:

• Salary: €30,000 – €40,000 (pro rata) DOE
• Part Time: (20 Hrs Per Week) – potential to grow into full-time
