Beechfield Care Group are currently seeking to recruit a full-time permanent Healthcare Assistant to assume responsibility for the care of residents at Beech Park Nursing Home, Dunmurry, Co. Kildare.

Candidates should have legal eligibility to be employed in Ireland/EU. We are not in a position to sponsor work permits for this vacancy.

About the Role

The Healthcare Assistant is a key member of the multi-disciplinary team responsible for the care of our residents. The HCA helps, supports, and provides personal care required to maximise the independence and wellbeing of our residents, including looking after their physical, emotional, and cultural needs.

Role Responsibilities
  • Undertake hygiene and dress care functions for residents

  • Safe manual handling and transfer of residents within the nursing home

  • Deliver food to and assist with feeding of residents

  • Return used trays and dishes to the kitchen, leaving residents and their rooms neat and tidy

  • Bed making and linen changes

  • Provide incontinence and toilet care to residents, including emptying commodes and replacing catheter bags

  • Assist trained nurses with the provision of psychological and social support as needed

  • Maintain continuous vigilance towards dignity, comfort, safety, and whereabouts of residents

  • Adhere continuously to hygiene, health, and safety regulations

  • Carry out any other duties as required
