Location: Community-based in Birr, Banagher, Ferbane & Ballycumber, Offaly / Driver Necessary

Reports to: Schedulers, Supervisors & Client Service Managers

Position Overview:

As a HCA, you will provide essential personal care and support services to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. Your role is key to delivering high-quality care that empowers clients to live independently and confidently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
• Support clients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment.
• Assist with light household duties such as light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Encourage and support clients in daily activities, promoting independence and well-being.
• Observe, record, and report any changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with supervisors regarding care delivery.
• Ensure care notes and records are accurately completed using our care planner system.
• Respect client confidentiality and follow Liberty Homecare’s safeguarding policies.
• Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies or incidents, following protocol.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and members of the care team.

Requirements:

• QQI Level 5 in Care Skills & Care of the Elderly (or working towards).
• Must have a clean full driver licence and access to a vehicle. Driver Necessary
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• A caring, patient, and respectful approach to service users.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
