Higher Planning Officer

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this post is to provide a high quality and efficient Planning Service to the Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council area.

To provide support to the team in meeting all statutory requirements and ensuring effective performance whilst supporting training and development for staff to meet the needs of the business and all customers in accordance with best practice standards and other performance measures.

​​​​​​​The job will be based in the Development Management Section of the Council’s Planning Department where the post holder will be responsible for the processing of planning applications. However, the post may involve opportunities to work across other sections of the Community and Growth Directorate of the Council including the preparation and delivery of the Local Development Plan or enforcement of planning controls.
