Home Safety Officer

The postholder will work as part of a team and be responsible for planning, coordinating and undertaking home safety visits. The postholder will visit households considered a higher risk of experiencing a home accident; predominantly homes of those aged over 65, homes with children under the age of 5 and other vulnerable groups. 
The purpose of the visit is to offer information and advice to the householder on avoidance of accidents, also identifying any hazardous features in and around the home likely to cause accidents. With the householders consent the post holder will make onward referrals to other relevant services and provide safety equipment when deemed appropriate.
