Homecare Assistant

Duties 

As a Homecare Assistant with Clannad Care, your duties will encompass a wide range of responsibilities designed to support the health, comfort, and well-being of your clients. These duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Hygiene Assistance
• Dressing Support
• Mobility Assistance
• Social Interaction
• Comfort Measures
• Assistance with Daily Activities
• Medication Reminders
• Light Housekeeping
• Meal Preparation
• Documentation
• Adhering to Safety Protocols

Requirements

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support - Care Skills and Care of the Older Person - completed / in process of completing / commitment to complete.
• A full, valid driver’s license is essential for traveling to clients’ homes and providing care in various locations (may not be essential for some city locations)
• A minimum of 6 months of experience in a homecare setting is preferred, though Clannad Care offers training and induction for all new hires, ensuring you are well-prepared for the role.

Work Hours

• Full Time and Part Time positions are available, offering flexibility to accommodate diverse schedules and lifestyles.

Salary

• Incremental pay scale up to €19.37 plus mileage allowance
