Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this post is to oversee the training and compliance management of the Household department at CHI Crumlin. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients and staff through the provision of a clean environment and the prevention of cross infection in line with National and International best practice.

The Household Assistant Manager will be required to oversee the smooth running of the training requirements within the household department while also ensuring compliance within the service, in line with HIQA and any other relevant regulatory requirements.

This position will deputise for the Household Manager as required.

The Household Assistant Manager will also oversee rostering, payroll, auditing, stock management and documentation & practices in line with HIQA compliance any other relevant regulatory requirements.

There will be a requirement for supervision cover as needed which may include weekends to cover annual leave on occasion.

Essential Criteria:

  • Leaving certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience supervising cleaning teams in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience of working with a multidisciplinary team
