Housekeeping Supervisor, University Hospital

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for planning, organising and overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene across the hospital.

This role supports patient care by implementing effective cleaning procedures that help control harmful organisms and prevent the spread of infection, while also maintaining the building’s fabric, fixtures and fittings. It involves recruiting, training and leading a skilled team, fostering a positive work environment and strong working relationships.

The supervisor also promotes the comfort and safety of patients, staff and visitors, ensures that housekeeping practices align with best industry standards and emerging trends, and maintains close collaboration with department managers to provide responsive and reliable support.
