Job Description

​​​​​​​Working hours are Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm and Friday, 9am - 4pm. 

We would also welcome applicants who are interested in part time hours, with a view to discuss at interview stage.

This is a hybrid working position.

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Administrator to provide first class administration and HR system support to the PSS Ireland businesses. You will predominately support the HR team looking after employees across the business alongside looking after key paperwork and processes relevant from the start of the employee life cycle through to an employee leaving the business.

Main Duties

  • Support & complete the HR administration processes for new starters and leavers including documentation checks, managing new starter processes, on boarding and systems set-up.
  • Support the administration for employees with changes to job role by issuing a change of circumstances letter; ensure changes are updated within HR system and letters filed.
  • Maintain and update HR spreadsheets to track key actions.
  • Data entry - inputting starters and leavers, contractual amendments, change of details, annual leave and recording of sicknesses and other leave.
  • Carry out general administration tasks for the HR Department, for example; sorting post, telephone answering, filing, scanning, photocopying and taking responsibility for post being sent out on a daily basis
  • Comply with General Data Protection Regulations at all times, ensuring data protection and confidentiality is applied at all times
  • Actively support and complete tasks aligned for completion and implementation of HR/Payroll System
  • Assist with all training activities, including booking of courses/ meeting rooms, sending out of course invites/ logging attendance, processing invoices, arranging training days, compiling training material, liaising with our training providers
  • To support the HR team and Management team with project work as and when required
  • To undertake other activities identified from time to time commensurate with the level of the post.
Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE Level
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications including word / excel / outlook / PowerPoint skills
  • Proven experience of working in a busy HR department – HR, Recruitment, Shared services or similar department / role.
  • Basic knowledge of HR and Payroll practice & process
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and to form strong working relationships with colleagues.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.
  • Willing to operate in a flexible manner and be able to switch priorities at short notice.
