HR Administrator Month Maternity Cover

What you’ll be doing
Key responsibilities will be wide ranging and will include assisting the HR Team with the following:
  • Supporting the recruitment process, including coordinating interviews, updating HR systems, and managing candidate communications.
  • Ensuring recruitment files and monitoring records are accurate and up to date in the HR system to support compliance with monitoring regulations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Annual Monitoring Return.
  • Maintaining HR systems accurately, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Supporting the onboarding and induction processes to provide a positive new employee experience.
  • Conducting entry and exit interviews, following up on feedback as required.
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies regarding temporary employees, including arranging interviews, monitoring working hours, submitting timesheets, and addressing queries about pay, absence, and holidays.
  • Preparing HR reports and assist with monitoring key HR metrics.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks related to training and development, including sourcing courses, booking sessions, and maintaining employee records.
  • Organising occupational health reviews as required.
  • Providing cover for payroll processing during periods of holiday or absence.
  • Supporting audits, reporting, and HR documentation.
  • Ensuring confidential and sensitive information is handled with discretion at all times.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the HR team across all HR processes.
  • Assisting with employee engagement initiatives across the business.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects and HR initiatives as needed.
  • Other duties as required
What you’ll bring to the role
  • Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent
  • Proven experience in an administrative role within a professional environment
  • Good understanding of HR processes and systems.
  • Strong IT literacy, with confidence using Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage and adapt to an increasing workload
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Highly organized and detail-orientated with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information, maintaining discretion at all times.
Whilst not essential it would be advantageous to your application if you could also bring:-
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within a busy HR office, with the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of HR processes and systems.
  • Proven experience working in an administrative role, preferably in a busy HR office
  • Previous experience using HR software systems, including Workday, PAMS, and North Time & Data
  • Hold, or be working towards, a CIPD qualification.
