HR Advisor

We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified HR Advisor to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a period of maternity leave. If you are a people-person hoping to progress your career in HR, this is an exciting opportunity for you. The successful applicant will support with HR and wider tasks within our group of busy Dental Practices. The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, working between the hours of 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To carry out a wide range of HR duties including calculating annual leave, maintaining probationary and induction records, and updating HR & Payroll Records with new employee information.
  • Provide HR advice to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organisational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Provide HR advice and training to Practice Managers on a wide range of topics.
  • Carry out investigation meetings, Disciplinary Hearings and Grievance Hearings in line with Company policies. 
  • Recruitment and Selection - Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
  • Preparation of recruitment data to comply with Fair Employment legislation.
  • To produce a range of general correspondence and ensure the relevant records are filed/stored accurately.
  • Generating reports on request.
  • Produce minutes of meetings as and when required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR Advisory role.
  • Resourceful, problem-solving attitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Possess at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Full knowledge of MS Office and willing to learn new technical systems as needed
  • Possess a full, current UK driving licence and have access to a form of transport which will enable the post holder to fulfil the full requirements of the post in full.

Desirable Criteria

  • CIPD qualified
  • Experience/ knowledge of the Dental Industry.
