POSITION DESCRIPTION:
You will join a group of companies that has a global HR presence across the US, Canada, UK, and Europe, currently consisting of 22 companies and looking after 600+ employees. The team consists of a Director of HR, who sits in the UK, who you will report to directly with 2 HR professionals in NAM. We are part of a larger group organization which is headquartered in Canada and, as such, will have the opportunity to tap into other HR resources from differing groups/portfolios of which we have a HR presence throughout the globe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage first level employee relations casework, including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absences, retirements, any complex matters will be escalated to senior members of the team.
- Apply HR and business knowledge, evidencing appropriate decision-making skills.
- Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment and knowledge share best practices with them.
- Provide first-line advice on employment matters for employees and managers.
- Liaise with the payroll teams and communicate changes to employees effectively and efficiently.
- Carry out new starter inductions.
- Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the organisation's strategic goals.
- Support change management processes.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a similar related field is highly desirable.
- 2+ years of experience in the field of HR, either in an generalist or specialist capacity, is essential.
- Excellent employment law knowledge to provide sound advice to managers.
- Problem solver and hands-on attitude is crucial for this role.
- Self-starter, able to work both independently as well as an active member of both business and HR teams.
- Must be legally authorised to work in Ireland.
