HR Associate

We are seeking an Employee Relations Associate to provide expert guidance on disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.

This role will have responsibility for general administrative duties within the wider HR team while assisting the Employee Relations team in the delivery of the people strategy in line with organisational requirements across the island of Ireland.

Responsibilities will include;
  • Administration of offboarding, recording of sickness absence and maternity, monitoring HR email inbox and responding to queries from managers and employees.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records and issuing contractual amendments, as necessary.
  • Notetaking at meetings
Employee Relations:
TUPE
  •  Assisting the ER team with end-to-end TUPE administration
  • Preparation of Employers Liability Information (ELI)
  • TUPE Staff Communication as per process requirements
  • Arrange and attend TUPE Consultations
  • Note-taking at Consultations
  • Liaising with external providers on TUPE In/ Out
  • Onboarding of TUPE In
  • Offboarding of TUPE Out
Absence
  • Absence management administration in line with company Absence Policy – Stage one, stage two triggers and initial stage three triggers.
  • Preparation of relevant evidence in relation to employee absence(s) to provide to the relevant line manager
  • Ensure outcome letters are issued in a timely manner.
  • IOH referrals and GP consent requests for relevant cases.
General Employee Relations Activities
  • Handling enquiries to ER Shared mailbox and escalating to Senior Advisor or Head of Human
  • Resources as required.
  • Invite and outcomes to Probation Reviews and Flexible Working Requests
  • Manage junior ER cases from initial concern through to resolution/draft invite and outcome letters and formal documentation, including compiling reports.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Book meeting rooms (internal or external) for any confidential meetings as necessary
  • Notetaking at employee meetings (Probation Reviews, Investigations, Disciplinaries, Flexible
  • Working Requests, and Grievances where applicable)
Requirements:
  • 1+ year experience within a busy of Employee Relations department
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new software applications with minimal training required.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills (ability to effectively manage multiple project components at the same time while meeting tight deadlines) required.
  • Proven ability to work well with a wide range of people and personalities
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Must have effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Suite, PowerPoint and Word, basic to intermediate with Excel
  • Occasional travel to Dublin Office and sites throughout Ireland will be required
  • Basic knowledge of NI and ROI employment law is desirable
