Job Summary
To provide a confidential, effective employee relations and business partner resource to (an) assigned department(s)/directorate(s) and location(s) across a range of people management and employee relations issues, including recruitment, discipline and grievance; attendance management; dignity at work and capability.
Hours of work
36 Hours per week. The post holder must be prepared to work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends and Public and extra Statutory Holidays for which the appropriate payment will be made or time in lieu granted if relevant.
Duration of Appointment
Temporary for a period of 1 year from date of appointment, with possible extension.
Work Pattern
36 hours Monday – Friday. This post is eligible to participate in the Flexi Scheme.
Location
Post 1 – Council Offices - Downpatrick
Post 2 – Council Offices – Newry
Post 3 – Either Council Location
The post holders may be required to transfer to other locations in accordance with any requirements stated in the Job Description, any reviews of service delivery or other requirments as may arise from time to time. Any amendments made to work location will be implemented following appropriate consultation and provision of reasonable notice.
Salary
Scale PO1 NJC spinal point 29-33, £39,862 - £42,839 per annum based on a 36 hour week (pro rata to hours worked). It is Council policy to appoint at minimum salary scale point.
