Your Role:

The purpose of the HR Data Analyst role is to work with teams across People Services to identify and build dashboards and reporting solutions that provide the people metrics required to design and influence people strategies. The HR Data Analyst supports the people reporting activities of the People Division by producing insightful dashboards, enhancing our self-service offering, managing the reporting mailboxes, producing standard and ad-hoc reports, conducting data validation checks across our systems, and seeking out process improvements for how we conduct and deliver our people analyses, ensuring strong data governance. You will be a member of a team that delivers critical HR information to enable data driven decision making across our people-related initiatives within the HR function and throughout the Bank.


Your Responsibilities: 

  • Build, maintain and deliver standard and customised dashboards and HR reports in Tableau Online and Power BI
  • Create simple, insightful reporting based on single-source or multi-source data that meets a dynamic customer need.
  • Manage the report requests mailbox and fulfil ad-hoc data queries within service level agreements.
  • Be proactive and seek out opportunities for enhancements to our current people insights, moving from descriptive to diagnostic and predictive analysis.
  • Maintain HR data integrity by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data in the dashboards/reports you produce, completing data validation and troubleshooting anomalies.
  • Comply with all data protection regulations and internal data governance processes relating to information, with a strong appreciation that this role involves working with confidential or sensitive information.
  • Take ownership for the quality of your work and ensure compliance with the Bank¿s audit, regulatory and compliance standards, meeting service level agreements.
  • Ensure all risks in respect of the provision of data have been identified and updated to the HR Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Register, together with suitable controls to protect the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Support the completion of local data quality and governance tasks as required.
  • Seek out enhancements for how we deliver insights to our stakeholders, maximizing the opportunity for self-service.
  • Identify improvements to data gathering processes, seeking better ways of connecting new and existing people data to support insights and programmes of work.
  • Create supporting documentation, for example self-service guides, and ensure accurate documentation is in place and maintained to describe source data for reports and dashboards.
  • Support and identify opportunities for process improvements on the HR Data Team, seeking to maximise automation, reduce duplication and focus on value-add tasks.

Requirements: 

  • Experience in a data analytics, reporting, insights or business intelligence role (min 3 years)
  • Experience storytelling with data and using insights to influence a diverse array of internal and external customers including senior management.
  • Planning and organisational skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and the team, and work within agreed timescales.
  • Inquisitiveness about data, and resilience to identify the root cause of data quality issues and provide remediation strategies where possible.
  • Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting high levels of emotional intelligence and the ability to push back with professionalism.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and with data insights tools Tableau and/or Power BI

This is a 12 month fixed term contract position, based in PTSBs St.Stephens Green.(Hybrid option available within the Republic of Ireland only)
