Dawn Meats is a leading food production and meat processing company, supplying premium quality products to major retail, foodservice and restaurant customers across international markets. We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Charleville, Co. Cork. This is a hands-on HR role supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, payroll processes, GDPR compliance and HR systems within a busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, induction and offboarding;
  • Provide HR support and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, absence management, performance management, discipline and grievance processes;
  • Assist with work permit administration and pre-employment checks for non-EU recruitment where required;
  • Prepare HR reports and workforce data relating to absence, turnover, annual leave and working time compliance;
  • Support payroll administration and liaise with payroll and finance on pay-related matters;
  • Support HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, graduate recruitment and ethical audit requirements.
Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • Third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HR Generalist, HR Officer, HR Coordinator or similar HR role;
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment law, HR best practice and GDPR requirements;
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management and HR administration;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HR systems such as CoreHR / PeopleXD and payroll administration is an advantage.
