As we continue our digital transformation, we are seeking a dedicated HR Operations Specialist to join our team in Cork.
Position Overview: We are looking for an HR Operations Specialist to support our HR operations within the Irish Examiner, Echo, and the Regional Group of publications. Reporting directly to the HR Business Partner of The Irish Examiner Echo Group, and working closely with the Senior HR Operations Specialist and The Irish Times Group HR Department, you will play a pivotal role in delivering HR services and supporting various HR initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to day HR administrative tasks, including employee records management, contract preparation, recruitment, and maintenance of our HR Information system, Personio.
- Collaborate with our payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including input and verification of payroll data.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the company, and manage the offboarding process for departing employees.
- Support the HR Business Partner in handling employee relations matters, providing first-line HR support to employees and managers.
- Ensure HR practices and policies comply with current employment law and internal policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Generate regular HR and headcount reports and analytics for management, supporting data-driven decision making.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programmes, including employee assistance programmes, pensions, and other company benefits.
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops, maintaining training records and supporting the implementation of development programmes.
- Participate in and support Group HR projects and initiatives to enhance HR processes and the employee experience.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in an HR operations or similar role.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and HR best practices.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail. Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
