HSCP Educator In Cardiology
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this post is to lead the development and quality assurance of post graduate education for HSCPs in cardiology including the content for the HSCP modules of the Graduate Diploma in Children’s Cardiac Care. The post holder will work collaboratively with clinical experts, academic partners, and professional stakeholders to ensure post graduate education for HSCPs in cardiology aligns with national frameworks, professional standards, and service needs.
Essential Criteria:
Candidates must:
- Be a Health and Social Care Professional, registered or eligible for registration by CORU or other appropriate professional register
- Have five years full time (or an aggregate of five years) post registration qualification experience. Of which four years full time (or an aggregate of four years) post registration qualification clinical experience must be in cardiology.
- Demonstrate a proven record of clinical excellence in cardiology.
- Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development relevant to cardiology, in the form of post-graduate qualifications or relevant courses.
- Demonstrate achievement in the areas of clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, teaching and research.
- Provide proof of statutory registration with CORU or other relevant professional body before a contract of employment can be issued.
- On appointment, maintain annual registration with CORU or other relevant professional body.
