HSQE Manager

EPS are recruiting for a HSQE Manager to manage and co-ordinate all matters Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental associated with the on-site Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Process upgrade works at Dundalk Wastewater Treatment facility.

 Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Review & Implement EPS HSQE management procedures. 
  • Review and Implementation of Uisce Eireann HSQE standards & procedures
  • Review & Implementation of Construction Health and Safety Plans.
  • Review & Implementation of Site Construction Stage Environmental Management Plan.
  • Review & Implementation of Site Quality Management Plan on the BIM platform.
  • Arrange, prepare and carry out and file Site Inductions.
  • Update and maintain all records associated with the HSQE management system.
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements as required.
  • Review and comment on Subcontractor’s RAMS.
  • Record HSQE statistics including Key Performance Indicators.
  • Provide monthly HSQE report. (Template will be provided)
  • Arrange, co-ordinate and minute, Site Health and Safety meetings
  • Support the Investigation of accidents and dangerous occurrences, maintaining proper records and complying with and reporting to relevant bodies.
  • Ensure that breaches of the health and safety programme and regulations are reported to the site Project Manager, and that where appropriate these are dealt with under the company disciplinary rules and procedures.
  • Document health and safety meetings and capture action plans.
  • Carry out training in all areas where competent including toolbox talks. 
  • Maintain internal relationships with other internal departments as appropriate for the effective operation of the health and safety function – human resources, environmental, insurance, quality, transport fleet managers etc.
  • Build effective relationships with external bodies appropriate for the management of health, safety, quality & environment – Health and Safety Authority, Health and Safety Inspectors, EPA etc. 
  • Procurement of site services and equipment
  • Preparation of site handover over documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience and suitable HSQE qualifications within the Mechanical Engineering and or Environmental Engineering disciplines.

Working knowledge of the Wastewater industry / BIM 360 / ACC Autodesk / Navisworks is preferable.

Clean driving licence
