Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Three-Year Fixed Term Contract
Location: Central Office Tullamore, Co. Offaly - Requirement to regularly attend Muiríosa Office, Portarlington.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the operation of the Human Resources Department, ensuring accurate, efficient and streamlined processes. In compliance with employment legislation, the post holder will develop and implement Human Resources policies and procedures while promoting a positive workplace culture that supports employee wellbeing, engagement, inclusion and retention, in line with the Muiríosa Foundation Strategic Plan.
The Human Resources Manager will work collaboratively with managers and colleagues to foster an inclusive, supportive and values-driven workplace that enables staff to deliver high-quality, person-led services.
The Muiríosa Foundation is a voluntary organisation, and all staff members are required to work in accordance with the Ethos of the organisation as expressed in the Vision, Mission and Core Values.

Essential Requirements
- Relevant recognised Third Level Qualification in a relevant discipline
- Membership of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development preferred
- Additional ongoing training / updates relevant to the role
- Experience of a Senior Management role with similar responsibilities (4 years +) including experience of leadership, direction, and teamwork relevant to a Human Resource role.
- Grounding across the areas comprehended by this role
- Has worked with Trade Unions on individual and group matters – strong influencing and negotiation skills required
- Experience of Industrial Relations processes at institutions of the State (WRC, Labour Court for example)
- ICT systems in the field of Human Resources
- Ability to evaluate complex information from a variety of sources to enable you to make and communicate effective decisions.
- Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders to implement change and Process improvements, as relevant to the role.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice relevant to the role.
- Human Resources in a relevant environment – for example S38 / Health Sector or Human Resources senior role.
- Proven ability to lead in Human Resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- Staff retention is a priority and promotes Employee well-being.
- Takes ownership and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present professional reports.
