Hygiene Services Manager Grade VII

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this post is to oversee hygiene services across all CHI sites to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients and staff through the provision of a clean environment and the prevention of cross infection in line with National and International best practice.

The Hygiene Services Manager will be required to oversee the smooth running of the contract cleaning services, contract linen services and in-house cleaning services on a cross-site basis.

In addition, the post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of accommodation services and main reception service in CHI at Crumlin.

This position will also deputise for the Senior General Support Services Manager as required.

The Hygiene Services Manager will support the Senior General Support Manager with the planning and preparation for all Hygiene Services in the New Children’s Hospital.

Essential Criteria:

· At least 5 years’ experience managing hygiene/general support/similar services in a hospital environment,

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing a team of >20 staff,

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,

· Line manager experience and competency.
