ICT Technical Support Officer

Full-time, permanent post, 36 hours per week.
Hours will be operated on a rota basis during Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 21.30pm and Friday 8.45am to 15.30pm. Hours may vary to suit the requirements of the post from time to time.

We currently have a vacancy for a ICT Technical Support Officer.

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure the effective operation of desktop hardware, software and other end user hardware devices.

ESSENTIAL ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Hold a Level 4 in a Computing/ICT related subject e.g. HNC/HND. 
OR
2 years’ experience working in an ICT support/development function*
*The 2 years’ experience must include providing Technical Support in each of the following:
  • Installation of operating systems such as Windows 10, macOS or Linux
  • Installation of desktop application software such as Microsoft Office
  • Diagnosing and resolving PC problems in a networked environment
Hold a current driving licence and have access to a car or have access to a form of transport that will enable the post-holder to fulfil the role in full.
Demonstrate the ability to apply a logical, methodical approach to problem identification and resolution.
Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills.
