About the Role:

At AIB we are dedicated to promoting Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) within our workforce, customer base and wider society. I&D sits within the remit of AIB’s People Experience team, which is part of HR and also oversees wellbeing, engagement and culture strategies and activities across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of People Experience, the Group Inclusion & Diversity Lead will be responsible for:

  • Delivering comprehensive I&D governance structures, policies and procedures that provide a strong foundation for the bank’s internal and external I&D activities
  • Ensuring the implementation of I&D campaigns and business as usual I&D activities that recognize and leverage the contributions of diverse bank employees and customers
  • Driving initiatives that create positive social impact in support of the bank’s strategy, in particular the sustainable communities pillar

Using a blend of creativity, implementation expertise and collaboration, the Group Lead will work across all of our operations and targeted partnerships to foster diverse, inclusive environments that support business strategy.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head of People Experience to ensure successful rollout and delivery of a new I&D strategy and implementation roadmap
  • Provide execution leadership to strengthen I&D across AIB, balancing a focus on internal advancement with contributions to external impact
  • Provide a best-in-class I&D policy foundation and thought leadership
  • Act as lead point of contact for targeted external partners or other relevant bodies
  • Work with AIB’s Inclusion Networks (ERGs) and I&D Council to leverage their talents and create impact
  • Integrated I&D across the business, including systems and processes, in support of AIB’s strategic priorities
  • Empower colleagues to engage in development of I&D programmes and activities
  • Enable delivery of I&D learning and development opportunities
  • Improve I&D data and metrics

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years in a role largely focused on Inclusion & Diversity
  • Multi-jurisdictional I&D experience and knowledge of relevant legislation and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders in a large-scale enterprise
  • Involvement in and understanding of ESG and how it relates to I&D
  • Experience in strategy development and implementation in a medium-large scale organisation
