Industrial Services Driver / Operative

Who we are

We recover waste products to provide either a second life, such as the production of energy, or in many cases full closed-loop recycling solutions. We also provide a complete portfolio of water and wastewater services.

This role is a key position supporting the activities of the Industrial Services division on a day-to-day basis, and assisting other areas of the business as and when required.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing, as part of the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe driving and operation of company vehicles, including HGVs, for the carriage of dangerous substances
• Management and maintenance of all cleaning-related services, including tanks, interceptors, bunds, drains, septic tanks, and sewers, particularly in confined spaces
• Effective operational management of all mechanical and electronic equipment used in company operations, as directed by management
• Daily maintenance of garage forecourt services
• Ensuring Enva site and customer protocols are adhered to
• Completing driver checks and reporting defects
• Delivering decommissioning services, including underground and above-ground storage tanks, services, and pipelines
• Oil and chemical emergency spill response and remediation services
• Collection, delivery, and handling of materials, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste
• CCTV surveying of drains and other services
• Additional services as developed or required by the company

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Full driving licence for classes B, C1, C, EB, EC1, and EC
• Certificate for drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods (all classes except 1 and 7)
• Forklift (reach truck) certificate
• Previous demonstrable experience operating jet vacuum units or CCTV surveying equipment
• Previous demonstrable experience in confined space entry works
