Information Technology Officer

Barden is delighted to be working with one of our clients in the banking domain as they hire their first dedicated IT Officer. It’s a genuine ground floor role: you’ll own IT on the ground across the business while the wider IT function is built around you, with a real path to IT Manager in time.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Be the go to person on the ground for connectivity, hardware, and day to day systems across the business.
• Own the relationship with the outsourced managed service provider.
• Take a hands on role in cybersecurity, including firewalls and protecting systems and data.
• Help meet regulatory obligations, including DORA, building on the gap analysis already completed.
• Get involved in IT projects and play an active part in the IT Committee.

ABOUT THE PERSON

• A broad IT generalist across connectivity, hardware, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Comfortable managing an outsourced MSP relationship.
• Regulated environment experience, and awareness of DORA, a real plus.
• A self-starter and a driver who takes ownership and makes things happen.
• Keen to grow into an IT Manager role as the department expands.
