Applications are invited for the following position:

INSTRUCTOR (SENIOR GRADE) / DAY SERVICE CO-ORDINATOR

PERMANENT FULL TIME CONTRACT

LOCATION:LIMERICK COMMUNITY SERVICES

Essential

  • At least 4 years experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and dual diagnosis
  • Level 8 (Higher Degree) qualification in Teaching, Training and Development, Applied Social Studies/Social Care, Psychology or other relevant qualification.(A Level 7 degree will be considered from applicants who have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in the intellectual disability sector)
  • Working knowledge of New Directions Framework (HSE)
  • Experience in leading a team of staff in the development and implementation of person centred planning framework
  • Experience of working with individuals with Autism and supporting the delivery of service to people who may display behaviours of concern
  • Experience in risk management
  • Experience in liaising with MDT teams, families and external agencies who may be involved in the support of people attending the services
  • Supervisory ability and capability in the management of staff and people supported by the services.
  • Ability to assist in service planning
  • Full Clean Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of HIQA Standards and Regulations

Panels may be formed as a result of the interview process. Candidates who are placed on a panel will be considered for subsequent vacancies, for a period of up to one year, for this grade.
