Do you want to be a part of a team of financial services risk and regulatory leaders, experienced in scoping, and delivering large transformation programmes in complex matrix environments? 

Our Financial Services Risk and Regulatory team is dedicated to solving complex business problems for our clients. We work with Ireland’s largest organisations across a wide range financial services including, retail banking, international banking, insurance, asset and wealth management, and payment services.

To support our daring strategic growth initiatives, our Financial Services Leadership team is hiring a Risk and Regulation Director with experience in identifying, scoping and delivering large transformation programs in a regulatory compliant manner, ensuring compliance by design with applicable laws and regulations and working as part of a multi-disciplinary proposition and solutioning teams.

With a background in solving business problems through technology solutions, process improvement and client engagement, this is a senior leadership role for a risk and regulatory specialist interested and passionate about continuing to grow something new! 

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of

As a Financial Services Risk and Regulatory Director, you’ll work as part of a team of solutions-driven and problem-solving individuals, applying your regulatory experience and client relationship management skills, to advance projects and programmes from strategy to execution.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the comprehensive design and delivery of Regulatory change projects for our clients 

  • Act as a Risk and Regulation expert and Consumer Protection SME for multi-disciplinary delivery teams supporting clients through periods of business transformation and change, intrusive supervision and regulatory change. 

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define, develop and implement the strategic direction and focus of Regulatory engagements 

  • Partner with our ‘Go to Market’ teams on identifying business-led, technology-enabled customer propositions. 

  • Lead, prepare and present impactful proposals for new client work 

  • Lead projects to deliver results for clients within agreed budgets and timescales 

  • Guide teams of regulatory specialist on multiple assignments running simultaneously 

  • Drive the compliance with new risk and regulatory requirements, support remediation of issues, staying relevant with new capabilities, undertake horizon scanning activities and identifying potential new opportunities for the firm. 

  • Cultivate the PwC Ireland brand across the PwC network and in the Irish market, leading risk and regulatory communities and knowledge-sharing 

  • Ensure excellent quality of project deliverables produced and demonstrate experience in risk and regulatory compliance. 

Experiences and skills:

  • BSc/MSc qualified with 10+ years consulting experience and a background in delivering end-to-end Regulatory Change projects

  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services firms regulatory agenda, including conduct risk, governance, anti-money laundering,

  • Experience working with Financial services risk and control project either from a consulting industry or regulatory background. 

  • A people leader with experience developing high-performing delivery teams, coaching and mentoring team members in the creation of client facing solutions. 

  • Superb communication skills to effectively communicate the rationale behind regulatory analysis to a broad set of client partners. 

  • Strong pre-sales experience/expertise with thought leadership development 

  • Experience of advising clients on Regulatory change implementation.
